Titanic's Future

 Titanic's Bow Section
As the Titanic slowly decays from the rusticles and water, experts believe time is running out to save the Titanic. There is no way to preserve her on the ocean floor, and no technological means of raising her. So, as she sits, her existence is quickly becoming a memory. A memory that is becoming more and more true as only six survivors are still with us. It won't be long before the Titanic, too, is something we can only see in photographs and in her recovered artifacts.

Sadly, as she is decaying, we must remember she is also a grave site. The final resting place of 1,500 souls. The line to bringing her to the surface is a touchy one. A question of respect for the souls, and a question of preserving the most popular and mysterious ship of all time.

As the Discovery Channel cosponsored the 1996 expedition in order to solve some very concerning questions about the wreck -- including forensics, reverse engineering, and crash investigation, a part of it was to bring up a piece of the Titanic's hull. featured in the SciTrek's Titanic special, the team of individuals dropped the hull ten miles from where she rested for eighty-four years. Suddenly a rope had snapped as the crane was attempting to pull the hull piece out of the water.New talks have risen to attempt to raise the piece of the hull dropped.
