London, November 24 (ANI): Scientists have devised a smart phone app which will suggest places users can go where they are more likely to find people with similar interests.
The system - named Jyotish after the Sanskrit term for astrology - creates a map of people's movements by tracking the wi-fi and Bluetooth connections on their phones to within around ten metres.
Eventually, the technology will be able to go a step further by matching user identities to social profiles and spotting situations where they may encounter a potential love match or work client, the Daily Mail reported.
The app is the brainchild of Boeing scientists who developed a similar software to predict the movement of its work crews in their huge aircraft factories.
